Jones's business was joined by Crompton in 1899
Went into voluntary liquidation in 1926.

Also marked "unidentified" by Jackson, but has been attributed to John Clarke or John Coakley
Lowe & Sons (from 1864)
Banks died in 1911 - the business was continued by his son until c1926
A similar incuse mark but with stop ( J.N ) registered by J Newsome, case maker, Coventry, c1886
This mark nor shown in Chester Register, but a similar unattributed incuse mark is dated c1891
A very similar mark registered Jan 1865 by John Stuart trading as H Stuart & Co, case makers, Hope Street, Liverpool.
